18th Century English Mahogany Tripod Table
An 18th Century English Mahogany Tripod Table.
The round one piece top is great colour and well figured mahogany. The stem of the table is finely turned and incorporates a spiral fluted collar. The base has very finely carved rocaille and leaf work carving on the knees and pad feet with further leaf carved detailing. The top is supported on a bird cage support, always a sign of superior quality. The table has acquired a lovely patination with age and use. This is a very good model of an English tripod table.
