Quality that stands out in a crowd
You can be safe in the knowledge that our restorers at Lee Wright Antiques and Interiors work on the basis that the overall essence of restoration should be to retain as much of the original material as possible. Repairing rather than renewing
Imagine a time when furniture was made only by hand and done so in a candlelit room, no use of electricity with only a wood burning stove providing a source of heat. Fast forward to today and most people would consider this way of working rather arcane, especially when we can now 'make, order and deliver' products at the touch of a button.
The team here at Lee Wright Antiques respects the skilled craftsmen of generations gone by and considers that each piece we source should be thoughtfully restored, through careful dismantling, cleaning and reassembling in a manner consistent with how it was originally made.
Our team of restorers here on site at Lee Wright Antiques and the craftsmen we work closely with from all over the country, undertake all aspects of restoration. Each member having over 30 years of experience and most of them working in this trade since leaving school.
Functionality is a key aspect in our restoration process, drawer runners run smoothly, locks work etc. The careful repair and replacement of each area using materials that are matched to an age and quality of that originally used.
Lee’s extensive knowledge together with that of the restoration team ensures that every item leaving the workshop is finished to the highest standard.
