Matched Pair of Late 17th Century Italian Walnut Commodes
A Matched Pair of Late 17th Century Italian Walnut Commodes.
The rectangular moulded top above three long drawers, each decorated with geometric raised and veneered panels and contrasting fruitwood/burlwood veneers, with original or period brass escutcheons and handles. The drawers are framed by moulded and cross-banded surrounds, the whole raised on a moulded lower rail and turned bun feet. Rich figured walnut with a beautiful original patination and colour.
Please note the sizes are different and slight differences in the chests, although they would sit beautifully together in the same room. Each one is also separately, priced on the website.
