Early 18th Century English Walnut Dresser Base
A Large, Exceptional Early 18th Century English Walnut Dresser Base.
Of beautiful, rich colour, this is of very good quality and is rarely seen in walnut rather than the much more common oak. The rounded front legs have fine pad feet in the manner of Queen Anne. The timber on the three drawer fronts has been bookmatched and there are cross grain mouldings applied to the edge of the top and bottom of the piece. The top is crossbanded with an exceptional original colour.
This dresser has a most exceptional patination and colour which has aged beautifully with time. It is of great size and presence. Possibly one of the best dresser bases we have owned.
