A Small 18th Century English Oak Dresser Base.
This dresser base is of small and narrow proportions, making it ideal for use as a console or hall table. It has three drawers to the frieze, all with their original gilt swans' neck handles. The piece stands on four square legs joined by side stretchers and there are curving brackets under the apron on the front side. The timber used is of excellent quality with fine figure and it has acquired a lovely colour and patination.
