19th Century English Regency Mahogany Writing Table/Side Table
19th Century English Regency Mahogany Writing Table/Side Table.
Veneered throughout in finely figured mahogany of lovely colour. The low gallery running around the top. There are two drawers in the frieze, retaining their original gilt brass cast handles. The table stands upon two end supports joined by a turned stretcher, the supports terminating in out scrolling feet with castors. The table is finished on the back as well, meaning that it can be placed anywhere in a room and not just against a wall. The decoration on the piece consists both of the lovely mahogany veneers and in contrasting inlaid ebony stringing on the frieze and legs.
