18th Century English Yew Demi Lune Side Table
A Late 18th Century English Yew Wood Demi Lune Side Table.
This lovely piece is of demi lune shape and has a shaped undertier with inverted edges and unusual wavy edge moulding that creates a gallery. At the top of each of the four legs is an inlaid shell patera. The table is veneered in yew wood and there is contrasting stringing at the base of the apron and running down the sides of the legs. The top is also crossbanded and the timber used throughout is of good figure and colour.
