Small 17th Century English Oak Occasional Table
A Small 17th Century English Oak Occasional Table with Elm Top.
This fine piece has side flaps supported by gate legs. The piece is an ideal size for an occasional table when open and can be stored against a wall in closed position, taking up very little room, when not required. The table has a single small drawer in the frieze with brass knob and the legs and stretchers on the piece are nicely turned with multiple knops and baluster turnings. The scrolled and fluted feet are also a very interesting feature on the piece. The timber used throughout is of excellent colour and figure and has acquired a very fine patination.
