An 18th Century English Walnut Bureau.
This bureau has a glowing, faded golden colour. The drawer fronts and the fall have highly figured bookmatched walnut. It stands on bracket feet. Internally, the piece is extremely well finished. The interior consists of a series of drawers, pigeon holes and a central cupboard door with secret drawers to either side. The drawers and cupboard drawer have contrasting crossbanding. The metalwork on this piece is all very nicely engraved.
