17th Century English Walnut Chest of Drawers
A 17th Century English Walnut Chest of Drawers.
Made in the William and Mary Period in late 17th century England, this lovely chest has a finely quarter veneered curly walnut top with double crossbanding. The drawer fronts have interesting chequered stringing and the hardware, consists of drop handles with Tudor rose backplates and cast escutcheons. The drawers are graduated in size. There is a moulded base, in figured walnut and stands on bun feet.
This chest of drawers has retained a lovely colour and patination.
