18th Century French Walnut Commode
An 18th Century French Walnut and Inlaid Commode.
Of rectangular form, and small size, this Louis XVI period commode has ormolu handles and escutcheons. The commode is largely of walnut with inlaid drawer fronts divided into three sections each with bookmatched centres surrounded by crossbanding and with a floral patera to each corner. The commode stands on tapering square-sectioned legs with corner brackets to the front and sides.
