A beautiful 19th Century Anglo Indian Satinwood chest of solid plank construction, the lid and panels surrounded by a solid ebony edge. It has a hinged lid that features a simple carving. The chest rests on four solid, carved bulbous feet.
Satinwood is a highly figured, close-grained, hard, durable wood native to India and Ceylon.
