Large Mid Century French Bureau Plat
A Large Mid Century French Bureau Plat with Tooled Leather Insert.
This bureau plat or writing table is of excellent quality and French manufacture. It is of large scale and has neat ormolu banding to the three drawers, caps to the legs and toupie sabots. The top has a tooled leather surface and a brass moulded edge. The neoclassically-inspired escutcheon plates are of very good quality. There are pull out slides to each side and the leather surfaces are original.
This is a great example.
