18th Century Italian Cocus Wood Bureau
An unusual 18th century Italian bureau, veneered in richly figured cocus wood and decorated throughout with contrasting geometric inlay.
The fall front opens to reveal a fitted interior of small drawers and compartments, above four further drawers, all retaining a particularly good warm colour and patination. Raised on turned bun feet.
A highly decorative and unusual example, with the striking cocus wood and extensive inlay giving the piece considerable character.
