Pair of 18th Century Italian Neoclassical Inlaid Chest of Drawers
A pair of late 18th century Italian commodes, of refined neoclassical design, good quality and small proportions. Constructed in walnut, rosewood and kingwood.
Each chest is fitted with two long drawers and extensively decorated with fine geometric stringing and contrasting inlay, the decoration continuing around the sides and down the tapering legs. The drawer fronts balanced with rectangular framed panels, decorative central lock panels and circular brass handles, all beneath their original white marble tops.
