Small 18th Century French Walnut Commode
A Small 18th Century French Walnut Commode with Two Drawers.
The top is of double serpentine form, mirrored in the shaping of the front of the commode. The timber used throughout is figured walnut which has attained a lovely colour and patination. The sides and back of the piece have been panelled and the apron on the sides of the piece is nicely shaped. Standing on cabriole legs. The commode retains its original rococo hardware and some finely cast ormolu handles and escutcheon plates.
