19th Century English Regency Rosewood Sofa
A Fine 19th Century English Regency Period Country House Rosewood Sofa.
Of elegant curving form, this fine piece epitomises the elegance of English regency period furniture. The sweeping curves of the arm supports and back are matched by exaggerated sabre form legs and there is fine reeded detailing used throughout. There are carved roundels to the end of the arms and square paterae where the legs join the frame. Standing on box castors. It has a squab cushion and two bolsters and is upholstered to an under finish, ready for final upholstery fabric to be applied or could be left as it is for a contemporary look.
