Monumental 19th Century French Oak Drapers Table
A monumental 19th century oak drapers table of exceptional scale, with original paint.
The long planked oak top with moulded edge, raised on a series of architectural open scroll supports, united by a full-length lower shelf.
The base retains its wonderfully worn original paint and untouched surface, contrasting beautifully with the warm natural colour and patination of the oak top.
A particularly impressive and unusual example, combining exceptional scale with strong architectural form and a superb original surface.
We have another slightly larger one (#3777). They both came from the same place in France and were butted together to make a huge, long work table.
