A Beautifully Figured Late Regency Period English Burr Oak Side Table. Circa 1830.
The finely figured bookmatched top executed in the best burr elm timber sits atop a frieze with panelled detail to the front and sides, the front operating as a drawer. The single drawer has fitted compartments to the front and a large section without divisions to the rear. The table supported on two end supports joined by a low stretcher and standing on carved feet with original ceramic castors.
This is a very charming and unusual table.
