Large Early 19th Century Mahogany Oval Tilt Top Table
SOLD
An Early 19th Century Mahogany Tilt Top Breakfast or Small Dining table.
The finely figured oval top above a baluster and four legged base terminating in fine hairy paw brass castors, this table is of an excellent and desirable size which allows this versatile piece to be used as a small dining table, a centre table or even to be displayed with the top tilted at the side of a room as the surface of the mahogany is beautiful enough to act as a focal point. The bookmatched grain of the top is very beautiful and the piece retains a fine colour with the old water stains adding to the charm of a table with a story to tell.
