Rare 18th Century French Cocuswood Bureau

A rare and fabulous, 18th Century French bureau with unusual use of symmetry, creating wonderful geometric patterns, in cocuswood veneer, sometimes called Jamaican Rain Tree or Jamaican Ebony, native to the Caribbean islands of Cuba and Jamaica. The pigeon-holes and drawers are enclosed by a fall front above three long drawers with attractive shaped escutcheons and a key. Standing on lovely shaped bracket feet and apron.
