A wonderfully shaped, French 19th Century gilt sofa with nice original patinated gilt and beautiful carving on every surface. The shaped back surmounted with a detailed ribbon and leaf crest, adorned with further foliate and floral carving throughout. Having voluptuous sweeping arms over a shaped apron with a central carved panel and paterea. Raised on seven stop fluted and reeded, tapering legs. Upholstered in a de-constructed way so it can be re-upholstered or left as it is.
