Pair of Louis XVI revival, painted 'Marquise' 'bergère armchairs of very generous proportions with there original paint, possibly supplied by Maison Jensen. Retaining old velvet with antique linen cushions. The pretty, carved and shaped top rail above the wide back leads down to spiral carved arm supports. Having particularly wide seats, and loose padded cushions, standing on tapering cylindrical legs.
Good solidly constructed chairs. Circa 1900.
