19th Century Walnut Sofa/Settee
A 19th Century Walnut Chair Back Sofa or Settee, Possibly Portuguese.
Carved in the baroque manner, this unusual settee is Portuguese and made from rosewood. The three splat backs are of the same basic design, the central one with a higher cresting. The scrolling armrests and cabriole legs, joined by a complex central stretcher, are very well carved. It has a lovely colour and patina and has old leather in the back splats and on the seat upholstery.
It could benefit from some funky fabric!
H 114cm x W 193cm x D 69cm
H 45” x W 76” x D 27¼”
Seat Height: 46cm
Seat Depth: 51cm
