Lee has been dealing antiques for thirty years. He has a great talent for sourcing fine quality pieces from all over Europe. His travels have resulted in him amassing an unrivalled range of resources.
Lee carefully oversees all aspects of the restoration of his antiques, working with his special team of craftsmen on each piece from start to finish.
Selling privately by appointment or within the trade, also exhibiting at London's top antique and decorative fairs, Lee has helped to furnish wonderful homes in London and around Europe.
A perfectionist and true craftsman, Marcus has extraordinary attention to detail.
He has worked with top antique dealers for over thirty-five years and with Lee for the past twenty. His incredible carving skills, a vast knowledge in the construction and materials of furniture, an understanding of the history of how pieces were originally made, makes him one of the best restorers working today.
In our opinion he is by far the best restorer available.
Alan became an upholsterer's apprentice at the age of sixteen where he learned and developed an enthusiasm for the traditional methods and skills of the past.
He now has over forty years of experience and knowledge from working with a diverse variety of upholstered furniture. His meticulous attention to detail ensures each piece retains its original form and is beautifully finished.
Gary has worked with Lee for many years and been a friend for longer!
Running the day to day management of the business, Gary brings fresh croissants to the office every morning for the team, we suspect he has a small bakery business he runs on the side?
Having been a school administrator, Jo joined the team in 2017 bringing her excellent organisational skills into the growing business.
Previously a school administrator at a local primary school. Although the setting has changed the job of ‘looking after’ [children] is perhaps very similar!
The latest addition to the team.
Chris has great enthusiasm and a passion to learn about the Antiques business and at the moment is providing some youthful legs to help the older tired ones.
The son of our landlord here at Lodge Farm.
Nigel has helped us, on a casual basis, for the last fifteen years. He provides extra muscles for loading vans, and with a knowhow for mechanics and metalwork and all things construction, he is a helpful pair of hands to have around.
Mark, an exceptionally skilled restorer, has been working with us for fifteen years. He comes from a long line of restorers going back two hundred years. From the age of eight Mark assisted his father, an antique restorer. He spent the extra pocket money earned through this at the local auction, buying furniture to restore.
He has been restoring furniture for approximately forty years and is an exceptional furniture finisher. He knows how to retain original finishes using the old methods and can often be found in his workshop at 2:00am working on a nice 18th century piece he has a passion for.
He absolutely loves what he does and because of this, we don’t think he’s ever worked a day in his life!
Angel the Dog
Angel is Mark’s dog and we think deserves a spot on our website, she is always pleased to see every visitor and makes us smile every time we see her…… we believe she is the best dog in the antiques business.
Tom is a friend, and professional photographer, who has shared his knowledge with us and he helped us to set up our first studio. An occasional team member but always here to help us with our photography.
